Welcome to part two of this special three-episode series as we join host, Michelle Pellizzon exploring the intersection of wellness, productivity, and purpose cultures, advocating for a shift towards prioritizing purpose over efficiency for a more meaningful and easeful life. KEY TAKEAWAYS: - Wellness and productivity cultures promise optimization and "more" yet fundamentally represent two sides of the same coin. - While productivity leads to efficiency it doesn't guarantee happiness or fulfillment. - Productivity culture often conflicts with purpose, leading individuals to lose sight of "why" one is doing something. - Focusing on values and purpose serves as an important compass, guiding individuals towards meaning and direction. - Finding a balance between productivity and purposefulness could be essential in building a more fulfilling life. 📚 Resources and Links: - Join our Notion for Magical Baddies: System Spells Classes here - Hear all of this and more every Friday morning by subscribing here - Sign up here for your weekly wink from the Universe and receive curated links to tickle your brain and coax out your intuition! - 📩 Connect with host Michelle Pellizzon-Lipsitz and team Holisticism - Subscribe and support the podcast on Spotify here. - Join our free Holisticism Hub community of intuitives and creators here - This podcast is edited by Softer Sounds Studios --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/twelfthhouse/message Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/twelfthhouse/support
Welcome to part one of this special three-episode series airing this week, where we delve into the transformative power of embracing a project-based approach to life. Join our host, Michelle Pellizzon, as we explore the advantages of cultivating multiple interests and projects for personal growth, creativity, resilience, and overall life satisfaction. KEY TAKEAWAYS: Having a bunch of different projects and interests instead of just being obsessed with one "big thing" keeps life interesting and makes you more motivated, creative, and resilient. Engaging in various projects can improve skills and competencies through exposure to different learning experiences and challenges. Not stressing about how every project turns out reduces stress, pressure, and disappointment from potential failures. Balancing your attention across various projects allows for a more well-rounded and fulfilling life. Join our host, Michelle Pellizzon, in another paywall episode of The Twelfth House as she shares invaluable insights on conquering creative blocks and burnout through effective task management, self-care prioritization, and the power of breaking down overwhelming projects into smaller steps. KEY TAKEAWAYS: Recognizing burnout as a significant factor of lack of inspiration and creative blocks, emphasizes the importance of assessing burnout levels and prioritizing self-care. Feeling overwhelmed by tasks and not having clear goals can lead to burnout. Getting rid of what's not necessary and setting up systems can ease that burden. Delegating tasks, even simple ones can significantly reduce the mental burden and alleviate burnout. Breaking large projects into bite-sized tasks makes them seem more attainable and less overwhelming. Trusting oneself and acting upon exciting ideas can lead to development of confidence and creativity over time. 📚 Resources and Links: Hear all of this and more every Friday morning by subscribing here Sign up here for your weekly wink from the Universe and receive curated links to tickle your brain and coax out your intuition! 📩 Connect with host Michelle Pellizzon-Lipsitz and team Holisticism Subscribe and support the podcast on Spotify here. Join our free Holisticism Hub community of intuitives and creators here This podcast is edited by Softer Sounds Studios --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/twelfthhouse/message Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/twelfthhouse/support

Join host Michelle Pellizzon and guest Courtney Romano as they explore how "The War of Art" inspired them to overcome self-doubt and find deeper meaning in their creative journeys, sharing the spiritual and creative insights they've gained from the book. KEY TAKEAWAYS: "The War of Art" by Steven Pressfield gave both Michelle and Courtney the confidence to push past self-doubt and pursue what they love creatively. Resistance is a normal part of creating, and experiencing self-doubt can be a sign that you're on the right path. Perseverance and dedication to your work can often lead to success more than innate talent. Creative work can serve as a spiritual practice and a channel for something greater when done with pure intention. Explore self-directed learning, inviting listeners to join in on relaxed, transformative journeys through casual podcast discussions. KEY TAKEAWAYS: The importance of pursuing personal interests and curiosities through self-directed research projects should be separated from professional obligations or starting a business The idea of incorporating regular moments of reflection and assessment within research projects to clarify thoughts and advance the work Research agendas involve concentrated research and writing on a specific topic or theme over a defined period, with a final deliverable to contextualize the learnings By constantly questioning the significance of a problem, individuals can sustain momentum and prevent burnout when researching or working on creative projects The idea of exposing oneself to new experiences, philosophies, or challenges can lead to fresh perspectives and questions that inform one's research direction 📚 Resources and Links: Hear all of this and more every Friday morning by subscribing here Sign up here for your weekly wink from the Universe and receive curated links to tickle your brain and coax out your intuition!
Join Michelle Pellizzon and her guest, Taylor Morrison as they dive deep into the psychological concept of the "hard-easy effect" and its profound impact on personal and business growth journeys. They uncover how individuals often underestimate challenges, overcomplicate solutions, and stress the importance of taking action despite uncertainty. Tune in for insightful strategies and heartfelt anecdotes on navigating life's obstacles with resilience and determination. KEY TAKEAWAYS: The "hard-easy effect" occurs when we misjudge the difficulty of a problem or overestimate how easily we can solve it. Even successful individuals can still fall into the trap of overestimating their abilities in new areas due to the Dunning-Kruger effect. Taking action and being receptive to learning is more important than trying to plan every detail of a project or goal. Engaging in stimulating activities outside of work can serve as a means to avoid overcomplicating ongoing projects due to boredom. Project planning at the beginning aids in identifying uncertainties and managing expectations for how complex a task may be.

Join our host, Michelle Pellizzon and her special guest, Holisticism's Social Media Manager, KP Pilley, as they explore the psychological phenomenon of action bias and its implications on decision-making, online activism, entrepreneurship, and navigating uncertainty in today's world. KEY TAKEAWAYS: Action bias is when we prefer action over inaction, even when waiting or doing nothing may be the better choice. Action bias makes people jump to conclusions without thinking it through, which can spread rumors or unexpected consequences. Action bias can manifest in different situations like online activism, making business calls, or dealing with stress or uncertainty. While action bias may have offered evolutionary benefits, it's important to be mindful of it and consider alternative options rather than acting impulsively. Entrepreneurs and creatives in particular can often mistake planning with taking concrete actions, emphasizing the importance of pausing for reflection before initiating a new project or business.

She also explains how results shown may differ greatly from typical outcomes for those just starting out. KEYNOTES: People crave grounding around money and want to compare ourselves to others' financial situations. To some, success is just one simple step away and following someone else's formula will lead to the same results — how true is this? We only see the flashy outcomes portrayed without knowing the full process or values behind how money was actually made. Not having a clear definition of "enough" money for ourselves means we are susceptible to promises of always getting more. Claims of high income online are often vague, unrealistic, or don't provide full transparency on expenses, profits, or typical results for beginners.

While the format isn't original, the content is as promised: Useful, insightful information that doesn't get the spotlight (that it really should) presented in an informal, funny, and true-to-Holisticism style. Cosy up here to get no-nonsense talk about the wellness/ spiritualism industry that feels like a coffee date with friends.

I have never written a review for anything *ever* - so this is a big deal. I love my podcasts but this one is the first one I've  listened to that has me EXCITED for the episode of the week to come out. Michelle, Head Witch at Holsticism is passionate about making wellness + resources and info on intuitive business accessible in several ways - including this podcast! I love this podcast because the conversations shared are full of raw, genuine connection (aka not awkward, weird forced interview style episodes), potent medicine, deep knowledge, so much love, and a sprinkle of sass. I appreciate all of the effort and work that the Holisticism team did to make this podcast possible. 110% encourage anyone to do their self a favor and check out this podcast.
