101: Handling Social Media Backlash and Negative Comments on Your Content

What’s our least favourite thing as social media managers? Definitely when negative comments get posted on our content or our clients’ content. We all know people don’t mind saying things behind a screen they’d never say in real life, but we still have to handle it!
In today’s episode, we’re going to talk all about different types of comments we’ve received from different types of people, from trolls to angry customers. It can be really hard to know how to respond in various situations - or whether you should even respond at all! But never fear, you’re sure to finish this episode with an action plan of how you can move forward in dealing with negative comments with confidence.
In this episode, we’re chatting about:

99: Stop Sliding into DMs with Cold Pitches

A salesman at the door, or a DM-slide - it’s all the same to us. Please stop!! If you don’t even know our names, or what we do for a living and why your product or service is exactly what we’re looking for (and probably, even then!) we don’t want to hear about it. What we do want is intentional networking and relationship building, and that’s part of what we’re going to cover in today’s episode. It might be the long game, but it’s honestly the best way to find clients without feeling like you’re getting the metaphorical door slammed in your face.
In this episode, we’re chatting about:
Why we truly hate cold pitchesThe long game when it comes to finding clients and why you should play itStarting discussions with people in a natural wayWhy warm pitching is absolutely encouraged

The best podcast

If you listen to one podcast as a social media manager this should be it. The Two Lauras are knowledgeable, easy to listen to and funny. They cut through the bull and tell it how it is. My only criticism - there’s only one podcast a week - we need more! 😂
