    After a lifetime travelling the world, Mike retired to the South of France. In his story he shares the importance of mentorship, regular check-ups and how he was lucky to be in the right place at the right time in France!  He is very frank with his story and the simplicity of the message he would give his younger self, may surprise you.     Petra was barrelling through life with a jet-set but high pressure job travelling all over Europe, until her encounter with cancer made her re-think everything. It was a life-changing experience which led her to reflect about what really matters.     Karen moved her young family to the South of France as part of a big adventure.  After all, what was the worst that could happen? Little did she know that what was ahead of her would bring out a fierce fighting spirit within her and show her the importance of family, friends and time.     Marianne has literally lived and worked across the world from Norway right across to Asia, before settling in the South of France. Her story involves things we ignore everyday, like niggly little gut feelings and sunscreen.     Gillian started a whole new life after divorce with a move to France. Once she was set up in the system, she answered a simple and fairly standard invitation for a screening test, which brought her in a direction she had never considered.     Aidan is a great friend of mine from our radio days back in Ireland and still to this day is a regular visitor to our place in the South of France. His story, like many people, starts with a niggling little thought which he initially ignored but ended up changing his life in all kinds of ways.
