'After the Podcast is Afraid' EP.111 - 10 Strange True Cases Involving Scarecrows - Original Release Date of this After Show episode was 5/25/22

There is no doubt that scarecrows can be creepy. After all, they are associated with the end of the harvest and the dying off of the land. They also happen to be the focus of quite a few horror stories. While we seldom see scarecrows in their original form and in their natural elements today, there was a time when scarecrows were prevalent throughout Europe, Australia, and the United States. During these times, it was often hard to distinguish these mock humans from the living or, more often, from the recently deceased.

    Mothman - Part III

    Mothman - Part III

We discussed the the event that happened at the Sutton Family Farmhouse, where a terrified group saw invaders, strange creatures or aliens with oversized heads, talons, and yellowish eyes - that predated the Mothman sightings by 10 years. Now flash forward many years into the future and remove your paranormal (tin foil) hat and put on your sleuthing cap, as we discuss why Mothman could 100% be an owl.

    Mothman - Part II

    Mothman - Part II

On November 15, 1966, two young couples from Point Pleasant, Mr. and Mrs. Roger Scarberry and Mr. and Mrs. Steve Mallette, were driving through the TNT area in their Scarberrys' 1957 Chevy, when they noticed two big red eyes looking back at them from the darkness. Was it Mothman or something more simple?

It’s Afraid

Even the Podcast is Afraid has a healthy balance of the macabre, information and humor. It’s a catch all type of show that explores everything from cults to the paranormal. I think they’re the only show I’ve seen that’s covered the Yosemite Park Killer and spent so much time covering MK-Ultra. The hosts are well-researched, easy going, and truly enjoy discussing these dark topics. It’s the perfect show to have on during a midnight ride or thunderstorm. Give them a listen and subscribe now!

So much wasted potential

Poorly researched and most big words are mispronounced.
