The Guitarist and Composer Gwen Gets To Work

    • Education for Kids

Why can't you be good at guitar and the piano at the same time? Guitarist and Composer Richard Durrant reveals the reason and everything else about being a professional musician and composer. He travels to his concerts around the country on a bicycle and has a studio full of all sorts of different guitars.

If you'd like to find out more about Richard or listen to his music visit his website: https://www.richarddurrant.com/, his YouTube and his Spotify.
His guitar courses are all to be found here: richarddurrantacademy.com

At the end of the interview Gwen asks Richard about a triangular guitar hanging on the wall behind him, which Richard said was a Russian instrument called a balalaika. Check out balalaika player Anastasia Tyurina  playing "Valenki" on stage when she was Gwen's age - only 7 years old! She's phenomenal!

Don't forget that Gwen is fundraising for some better equipment so that she can get out and about and interview adults at their places of work, once it is safe to do so. Here is her Go Fund Me link - all donations most gratefully received.

Every week in the Gwen Gets To Work podcast, Gwen finds out about what a different adults does all day at work. Visit our website for past episodes and to find out what's coming soon: https://gwengetstowork.com/
