Then, they close on this week's Scoop Du Jour in which Halle Berry revealed that her doctor misdiagnosed her with "the worst case of herpes he's ever seen" when in fact, it was just perimenopause. How Do I Incorporate Health Promoting Behaviors Without Obsessing?

How Do I Incorporate Health Promoting Behaviors Without Obsessing?

On today’s episode of Back For Seconds, Sami shares with Aleen that she’s been feeling a bit run down lately just from the general stresses of life, some slow release grief and possibly even age. Why is it so hard to just to literally stand up every now and then and to feed ourselves? Aleen offers up some solutions such as pointing resources in the direction of goals. Would a part time housekeeper or assistant be the solution? Honestly though, why can’t we just have adult nannies? Finally, we learn that Sami weighed herself for the first time in four years at her annual physical but the number on the scale didn’t affect her the way it used to. Now, she’s motivated to add health promoting behaviors to her life without the emotional charge she once felt in the past. You can do it, Sami!

The three chat all things snacks but also boy bands. Finally, Emily and Lauren close us out with a Dear DST from a listener who is becoming increasingly frustrated with people in her life assuming that her health journey is a weight loss journey and she’s asking how to redirect the conversation away from her body size.

Obsessed with everything they have to say, they are the coolest and I learn from them so much. Love listening to this every week and hearing their thoughts.

Missing times of ‘yore

I’m sorry but please replace the new girls, or add more substance to this… it’s very gabby without any kind of insights or educational aspect. I commiserate with my friends. I want to come here to commiserate AND get a different perspective from my own, maybe even with some research behind it.

Glad to be back

I stopped listening when the new hosts came on. I just couldn’t connect anymore. I’ve recently begun listening again when Lauren began and the dynamic is great! I love her insight and Emily and Lauren as co hosts
