In Episode 18, I have a guest joining me from one of the bloggers from Putting Her First by the name of Cara Stewart. Cara is a confident, charismatic, natural born leader. She is also a wife and mother of one based in Toronto, Canada. I'm so glad she agreed to share her story about how she is adjusting to menopause in her thirties and how she's now more confident than other to start putting herself first.
In Episode 17, I have a friend joining me by the name of Madelyn Collins.  Madelyn is a wife and girl mom of two! She works as an education administrator, supporting all hospitality and tourism programs for the local school district. Her ultimate goal is to be the best example of womanhood for her daughters and leave a legacy that they'll be proud to carry on. We chat about the importance of having a black woman doctor, black women and fibroids, giving birth to her first child after her fibroid surgery, giving birth during a pandemic, and adjusting to working from home with a newborn and toddler. So many things!
In this episode, Latrice shares how giving 110% of yourself to your family, friendships, and career is a struggle and requires you to take care of yourself first. She gives us THE REAL on how motherhood affects marriage and raising a daughter and discipling the YOU out of your child. We also talk how going from having a busy social life to being stuck in the house due to the pandemic while adjusting to a new role at work and homeschooling her daughter has most definitely taught her to not put pressure on herself to do everything perfectly. In Episode 14, I have a guest joining me from The Millennial Wives Club New Orleans chapter by the name of Bianca Gaddison.  Bianca is a beautiful, energetic and enthusiastic wife mom and friend who absolutely loves life and tries to live it to the fullest. We talk about how she met her husband in the parking lot, how marriage is nothing like you see on tv, having family members affected by COVID, raising a black son today, and how's she's managing her sanity while quarantined.
In Episode 13, I have a guest joining me from The Millennial Wives Club OKC chapter by the name of Alexus Coleman. Alexus is  a millennial wife and a millennial mom to a 6 month old boy. I know Alexus as a take charge type of woman who I enjoy working with and I am so excited to get to know her even better in this conversation. I wanted to share Alexus’ story because she birthed a whole baby before COVID got crazy and as a new mom to a baby boy I’m interested to hear her perspective on her thoughts raising a black son today and hear how’s she’s adjusting to quarantine mom life.
In this episode, Dominique shares her how becoming a teacher led her into politics. Dominique also shares how advocacy and policy affects the classroom, how she manages her mental health during today’s social climate, and what she expects from black women today.
