#18 - The Cold Case of Christine Gallegos - EXTENDED CUT

In October 1985, an 18-year-old woman was found shot and stabbed to death on a Salt Lake City street. Her murder has remained unsolved for over 35 years. Why? At best, the SLC Police Department wildly mishandled the case and neglected to follow up on even the most simple leads. At worst, they were actively covering it up to aid the city in its bid for the Winter Olympic Games. Let's dive into the cold case of Christine Gallegos. Make sure to stick around after the episode for an awesome chat with private investigator Jason Jensen. || SOURCES || The Justice Files series by Marcos Ortiz on ABC 4.

#15 - Serial Cannibal Hadden Clark

The Clark family was a respectable east coast clan with advanced degrees and enviable careers. Nobody could guess what was going on behind closed doors. Was it the abuse they suffered at the hands of their parents that drove not one BUT TWO of their sons to commit multiple acts of murder and cannibalism? Based heavily on the book "Born Evil" by Adrian Havill, Nightcat tells you the tale of the Cross Dressing Cannibal from Cape Cod Hadden Clark.

#14 - The Legend of the Skinwalker

Deep in the ancient, native lands of the Americas, semi-human creatures have stricken fear into people's hearts for generations. Skinwalkers may start as human, but what they do to gain their powers turns them into something evil and otherworldly. Let's talk about the ancient Navajo creation myth and how the magic that created the world also created one of the most violent predators in the land. Plus, Nightcat will share the story of the time his uncle claims to have come face to fae with one.

Love love love

I could listen to Jackson tell us about true crime all day. I want more episodes. With most true crime I feel down or a little on edge just from the content. Jackson delivers the information in a respectful and gentle way. He does have some comical moments as well. I really enjoy learning the history behind each encounter and having it told from a different perspectives than most true crimes deliver their information. Highly recommend!

So ridiculous
The Hadden Clark episode
“ things have changed” crap
Having new ‘dialogue’ doesn’t make a thing right/healthy
Tedious

This Show is Like Talking with a Friend

I happened upon this show to hear the most recent, listenable, podcast on Herb Baumeister (because I’ve found myself listening to murder podcasts recently)—and I literally felt like I was listening to someone I knew and was friends with telling me about a news story. Insightful and funny at the same time. So now I’ve started from episode 1 (which also didn’t disappoint) and am going to work my way to current. Love it!
