The Bea Team gets ready to step up for King Charles

The tabloids seem to have run out of "Kate is Wonderful" stories.  Even reruns. I mean, how many times can you tell us how relatable she was that one time she was in a supermarket.

So it's off to stories about Sophie and Princess Anne, and maybe even Beatrice will have to wave at the commoners this summer.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry reportedly worried about this German documentary

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry reportedly worried about this German documentary

OK Magazine reports the Sussexes may  be worried about an upcoming documentary on the royal family - and what elements of their past lives it might unveil.

Richard Mineards, who covered the Royal Family for UK newspapers said, “Los Angeles-based producer Melanie Hillmann grilled me for two hours”
According to a source, “There are many things that both of them, especially Meghan, don’t necessarily want in the public domain. It’s no secret that they both led colourful lives before they met each other, and while Harry has spoken about a lot of mistakes in his book, there are still things about Meghan we don’t know”.

Per OK, the source claims that there are things from her past that she’s “brushed over” – but there are people out there “willing to speak out”. And one element under examination could be the breakdown of her first marriage, something which could prove “explosive”, claims the source.

That source adds, “Her first marriage didn’t end well and her ex-husband is yet to speak out – but who knows, for the right amount of money, he may have his say,”

Harry and Meghan's charity no longer delinquent - but is the damage done?

Harry and Meghan's charity no longer delinquent - but is the damage done?

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's non-profit organization, Archewell, is back in good standing after a brief period of being declared "delinquent" in the US. The charity had to halt all fundraising and spending due to this designation, which was a result of failing to submit its annual report and registration fees on time. However, sources close to the couple insist that all necessary filings were submitted punctually.

The Department of Justice's website now lists the charity's status as "current," indicating that the issues have been resolved.

In a statement to The LA Times, the California attorney general’s press office confirmed: "After being in touch with our Registry of Charities and Fundraisers, the organization is current and in good standing."

Earlier, a letter from California’s Attorney General Rob Bonta noted that Archewell had let its registration fees lapse since the beginning of May, rendering the charity "not in good standing" and prohibiting it from soliciting or distributing charitable funds. The letter warned of possible penalties and the suspension or revocation of the charity's registration.
Despite this, a source told the Mirror that the fees were not actually late, claiming: "For whatever reason, it has not been cashed. As soon as the foundation learnt of the problem, they immediately issued another cheque. Harry and Meghan's team hope this will quickly resolve the issue within the next week."

A representative for Archewell later assured The Mirror: "We have diligently investigated the situation and can confirm that The Archewell Foundation remains fully compliant and in good standing. Due payments were made promptly and in accordance with the IRS’s processes and procedures. Furthermore, all necessary paperwork had been filed by the Foundation without error or wrongdoing."

PR Expert Ryan McCormick suggested to the Mirror that the damage is already done.

What makes a Royal Visit and did Harry and Meghan just do one anyway?

What makes a Royal Visit and did Harry and Meghan just do one anyway?

    Royal Insider Deep Crown says:

The notion that Meghan Markle's appearance at the coronation was simply an opportunity for her to 'play the princess she always wanted to be' is, in my opinion, a gross oversimplification of the situation.

Being a member of the royal family is not some fairy tale or Disney movie, where one can simply don a tiara and live happily ever after. It's a life of duty, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to the Crown and the people it serves. It's a role that comes with immense responsibility and scrutiny, and one that requires a great deal of resilience and fortitude.

To suggest that Meghan merely wanted the glamour of being a royal without the 'tiresome protocol' is to do her a great disservice. It's clear that she struggled with the constraints and expectations of royal life, and that the constant media scrutiny and criticism took a heavy toll on her mental health and well-being.
But to reduce her motivations to a simple desire for fame and attention is, I believe, a mistake.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's charity is "delinquent and not in good standing" (Bulletin)

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's charity is "delinquent and not in good standing" (Bulletin)

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's charity, Archewell, has been ordered to suspend all fundraising and spending after being branded "delinquent and not in good standing" by California's attorney general, Rob Bonta. The scathing letter stated that Archewell has allowed its registration fees to lapse since the beginning of May, resulting in the charity being prohibited from engaging in activities that require registration, such as soliciting or disbursing charitable funds.

Archewell is now required to submit records to explain the late payment and pay late fees. The foundation has reportedly filed for an extension. The "delinquent" label was given due to Archewell's failure to submit its annual report and registration fees. If the delinquency is not remedied, the charity's status could be further changed to suspended and/or revoked.
However, a source close to Meghan and Harry has insisted that all the necessary documents were filed on time, including a physical cheque. The insider told the Mirror, "For whatever reason, it has not been cashed. As soon as the foundation learnt of the problem, they immediately issued another cheque. Harry and Meghan's team hope this will quickly resolve the issue within the next week."

The Daily Mail reminds us Archewell says its mission is to 'show up, do good', adding: 'We meet the moment by showing up, taking action and using our unparalleled spotlight to uplift and unite communities - local and global - through acts of service and compassion.'

The foundation is separate from the couple's Archewell media and business divisions which have been involved in the Netflix and the $25 million Spotify deal.

King Charles and Prince William make joint appearance - Meghan and Harry Nigeria trip ends, what's next?

King Charles and Prince William make joint appearance - Meghan and Harry Nigeria trip ends, what's next?

In a rare joint official engagement, King Charles has handed over the role of Colonel-in-Chief of the Army Air Corps to Prince William. The transfer of the colonelcy took place in front of an Apache attack helicopter at Middle Wallop airfield in Hampshire.

King Charles, who became the inaugural holder of the title 32 years ago, expressed his "great sadness" in passing on the role. He said, "Let me just say what a great joy it is to be with you even briefly on this occasion. But also it is tinged with great sadness after 32 years of knowing you all, admiring your many activities and achievements through the time that I've been lucky enough to be Colonel-in-Chief of the Army Air Corps.

In an exchange with an attendee, Charles was asked about his chemotherapy and shared, “It was “terrible losing your sense of taste,”

Meanwhile, in Nigeria:  Meghan co-hosted a Women in Leadership panel event, where she admitted to changing her style in a bid to "fit in" with the local fashion. She looked stunning in a red maxi dress, ethically created by Nigerian designer Orire and priced at less than £230. Meghan revealed that her decision to wear the bold dress was a last-minute choice, explaining, "It has been a whirlwind 24 hours since we arrived, and I very quickly got the memo that I need to wear more colour so I can fit in with all of you in your incredible fashion."

Although Meghan arrived an hour late to the event, her passionate speech seemed to make up for any ill feelings. She expressed her gratitude, saying, "I want to start by saying thank you very much for just how gracious you've all been in welcoming my husband and I to this country… my country. I am just flattered and honoured and inspired. It has been a whirlwind 24 hours since we arrived."

While Meghan was co-hosting the event, Prince Harry reportedly left her in Abuja to visit a hospital in Kaduna, a region deemed "unsafe" by the UK government. The UK foreign office advises against all travel to Kaduna State due to frequent banditry, violent attacks, and a high threat of kidnap. Despite the risks, Harry, accompanied by a four-strong security detail, visited the hospital to meet with Nigerian soldiers who had suffered injuries fighting against the terrorist group Boko Haram.

IUsedToBeFun ,

Enjoyable….But…

I have loved watching and celebrating the royal family since I was a child in the 80s. One of my earliest memories was Charles & Diana’s wedding. I woke up my 5 year old daughters in the middle of the night to watch William and Catherine get married live on TV. The Royals are supposed to represent community, country, tradition and a dash of glamour. But, they are also Human beings. They are all flawed, even Catherine, who has been only a gift to the institution and world. I like this show. The production, the short snippets, the commentary. Except…the constant snarky comments about Meghan and Harry. I believe these adults have made flawed decisions, but the constant negative narrative is..well, not very Royal and just so tiring. It brings nothing but more decisiveness in already divided world. People watch the Royals to escape the tragedy of the world for a moment. Try to find the good in people once in a while. Once in a while.

Princess Sparklepuff ,

Give Harry and Megan a break!

I have noticed you’re being a bit nicer about them but you still have work to do. I like them and I like the fact they struck out on their own rather than be lemmings. You could lean into that instead of being so bitter about them.
