What are perinatal mood and anxiety disorders? What should a new mom know about getting help for postpartum depression, postpartum anxiety, and other perinatal mood disorders? Psychiatrist Dr. Nazanin Silver from UPMC Pinnacle Women's Behavioral Health answers these questions and more in this episode.
Dr. Silver is an expert in women's health care, trained in both psychiatry and obstetrics and gynecology. She is also an active leader within the American Psychiatric Association, advocating for women in psychiatry and increased resources to meet the behavioral health needs of female patients. Dr. Silver currently serves as an Attending Physician at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center - Pinnacle Health System, where she helped launch and co-leads the Division of Women’s Behavioral Health to address the emotional, behavioral and cognitive disorders faced by women as they progress through the continuum of their reproductive life cycles.
This is an informative episode, even if you are past your postpartum days.
