This is a show about the moments that change us, fundamentally and forever. Each week, host Stephanie Wittels Wachs (Lemonada’s co-founder and award-winning queen of darkness and light) is sitting down with a new guest to explore happy/sad stories of survival, resilience and transformation. After three seasons of exploring the "last day" of people’s lives in an effort to understand mass epidemics, Steph was ready for a change herself. Some “last days” are hopeful. Some are tragic. But at the heart of every “last day” is also a new beginning. Laugh/cry with us.

Christine, “In Sync With Total Strangers”

Christine, “In Sync With Total Strangers”

Christine Blasey Ford and Stephanie might be strangers, but they connect deeply on many things, from their love of the Pacific Ocean to, fittingly, how good it feels when strangers feel like home.

Christine: In Our Crisis, We Have Opportunity

Christine: In Our Crisis, We Have Opportunity

There are few modern photos more iconic than the image of Christine Blasey Ford with her hand raised in the U.S. Senate chamber, vowing to tell nothing but the truth about being sexually assaulted by then-nominee to the Supreme Court, Brett Kavanaugh. From that moment on, Christine’s life was forever changed, exposing her to vicious hate and shaking the deeply rooted respect for government that had motivated her to come forward in the first place. Now, almost six years later, Christine sits down with Stephanie to give her a look into this new life. She shares how, even though many things got harder for her after her testimony, if she had the choice to do it all again, she would.

Lemonada has teamed up with Apple Books to bring you the Lemonada Book Club. The March pick is One Way Back by Christine Blasey Ford. For more details, visit apple.co/lemonadabooks

    PREMIUM: Craig, “Keeping People Alive”

Dr. Craig Spencer spends a lot of time thinking about public health. He reflects on the field’s accomplishments and struggles, like trying to reach individuals skeptical of COVID-19.

    Craig: The First Confirmed Case

    Craig: The First Confirmed Case

It’s early 2020. COVID-19 begins to spread around the globe like wildfire, and many people –– particularly in the US — are stunned. But then there are doctors like Craig Spencer, who specialize in public health and know all too well the devastation that infectious disease can cause. Having worked to combat Ebola in West Africa years before, Craig recounts what it was like to be on the frontlines of highly contagious and deadly diseases across the world. Nearly four years after COVID made its way to the United States, Craig sits down with Stephanie to reflect on where we are today — and how much further we have to go.

PREMIUM: Brooke, “Those Weird Things That Grief Does”

    Brooke: This Is Not Reality

    Brooke: This Is Not Reality

Four years ago, Brooke had the best day of her life — then two months later, she had the worst. The whiplash from the bliss of her wedding day to the reality of mourning rocked Brooke to her core. AK Ajijic ,

Great interviews. Re. Brooke

I feel for her. I know her pain even WORSE. I lost my only son ON THE DAY of my father’s funeral.
I know her experience was horrible.
If he had parents, they felt 1000X worse.
His son felt worse.

Everyone suffers. All points of views are so aweful.

CJWOW55 ,

I love this show!

Feels more like a conversation than an interview. Stephanie really seems to bring out the human emotion while giving all the facts. She really brings to light these important topics.

Grateful for your show ,

Thank You

This is a very important podcast. The discussion will help many people. We need more dialogue like this because the concepts reach further than the individual, but what we can strive for as a society. Individuals experience trauma from our socio-economic system, which adds to familial trauma. I am very grateful for your work. Thank you!
