Hey Outlaws, as mentioned, today is the last episode of Entrepreneurial Outlaws! I have been trying to record this final episode for the previous two weeks, and it’s been hard to figure out how to do this. It’s been emotional as well. But here I am, ready to say goodbye to podcasting, but not to you, my beloved community. Even if you do not hear me weekly in our podcast conversations or on Instagram, there are several ways we can continue our fruitful discussions. So today, I will focus on introducing to you what is coming up for the Entrepreneurial Outlaws, as I’m finally ready to concentrate on who I was always supposed to be, the creative version of myself.  Also, I want to thank each of you for your listenership and for making this a reality because I would not have been able to do this without you.  Visit this episode's blog post here for episode resources and more.
Hey Outlaws, welcome to this week's episode. Courtney McCarthy is joining us today to share her journey to becoming a wellness professional. She is the CEO and founder of Loyobo FIT, a fitness community dedicated to helping women ditch diet culture, find joy in movement, and figure out how to love their bodies. We also discussed how the pandemic changed the fitness industry and how they pivoted into the virtual world. Tune in to hear more insights. Enjoy!   Disclaimer: This week's episode covers a very sensitive topic about weight loss, diet culture, body movement, and body image. If you are currently going through any of these stages and feel it can be triggering, it is better to skip the episode.
Hey Outlaws, welcome to this week's episode. Again, I will cover a topic I never discussed before - employment, entrepreneurship, and team hiring. Candice Elliott is joining us today to share her mission to flip the script on HR by helping impact-driven leaders thrive with their teams through HR best practices. So if you’re considering starting your own business or hiring a new team member, this episode is a perfect starting point. Tune in to hear more insights.  Visit this episode's blog post here for episode resources and more.
Hey Outlaws, welcome to this week's episode. Nina Hannert-Nimmo is joining us today to talk about mental well-being and mental health. We will discuss breaking up with the rules and moving away from perfectionism, managing our mental energy, navigating setbacks, and managing our minds. So if you’re a perfectionist and overthinker, this episode is for you. Tune in to hear more insights.  Note from Nina:  ‘’I’ve been reflecting on our recording and realized that the way I talked about spoon theory and managing our mental energy is really appropriating language/concepts used by the chronic illness community, and that’s not ok.’’ Visit this episode's blog post here for episode resources and more.
Hey Outlaws, welcome to this week's episode. Today I will cover a topic I never discussed before - mindset shifts and manifesting. Efia Sulter is joining us today to share her journey to becoming a mindset and manifestation coach. We cover a lot in today's episode about personal development, understanding the law of polarity, and the importance of spiritual energy. This conversation was such a good reminder that the wrong mindset could drag us away from being extraordinary. As the end of the year is around the corner, this episode is perfect for all of us who need a gentle push to the right path to confidently manifest what we want from our lives. Enjoy!  Visit this episode's blog post here for episode resources and more.
Hey Outlaws, as promised, we have a different episode for you today on the show because Entrepreneurial Outlaws turns TWO this month! Since starting Entrepreneurial Outlaws back in 2020, a lot has changed and in some ways nothing has changed. Currently my business is so close to my heart and soul and I remain in self audit mode, making adjustments to ensure I’m doing business on my own terms and I’ve been so grateful to have you here on this journey with me. I’ve learned so much and today I want to share the three lessons I’ve learned from podcasting as well as a big (kind of heavy) announcement about the show. Enjoy! Along with creating slow businesses, I have seen a big push to create a conscious business. Today on Entrepreneurial Outlaws, Kate Carman, Founder & Creative Director of Studio Wilding, is sharing her story of overcoming burnout to eventually create a business that fits her wants and needs as a business owner and creative. This episode is for you if you’re scared of making a needed change because it may mean saying no to income or re-creating your boundaries.  Visit this episode's blog post here for episode resources and more.
Outlaws, hustling actually isn't in our DNA, it is nurtured. This means we have got to collectively rethink and reframe self nurturing. We know that self-care is important, we know that it's not always a bubble bath and Netflix, we know that self-care can be tough. It can be heavy and involve hard conversations with ourselves and with others. Self-care can look like creating boundaries and then actually having to honor them, it can look like saying no ending relationships and it can even hurt us in the moment. Self-care requires us to self nurture, to take care of our needs in micro ways on a daily basis, and allows us to take care of ourselves in the long term.  Visit this episode's blog post here for episode resources and more.
Another podcast veteran is joining us today on Entrepreneurial Outlaws – Bre Byrd is joining us to share how she’s leaned into Cellular Release Therapy to not only heal her own generational trauma but create her own practice that helps womxn and queer folx heal from trauma on all levels. This conversation was such a good reminder that our health and business do not work in isolation from each other. If you’re ready to create a healthier business, this episode is a great starting place. Visit this episode's blog post here for episode resources and more.
Autumn seems to be the season of hustle culture messaging – we’re coming up on the end of the year and are often told that we need to make a final push whilst also planning for success in the new year. This mindset is a huge catalyst for entrepreneurial burnout. For me personally, this led to me not trusting myself as a business owner or creative. I remember asking for opinions from everyone around me instead of listening to my intuition. So today we are going to talk about self trust, learning to listen to your intuition, and how to protect your energy no matter the direction you choose to go in as the end of the year approaches us.  Visit this episode's blog post here for episode resources and more.

Of course this episode includes journal prompts, so grab your favorite notebook and seasonal drink and listen in! Visit this episode's blog post here for episode resources and more.

I’m also going to be sharing how I’ve personally measured the growth of Entrepreneurial Outlaws, what’s coming after the break, and a sneak peek into our new Patreon. Hey Outlaws, welcome to episode 81. Thank you for joining me for the penultimate episode of our summer series. Before we dive in, I want you to know that we are going to be taking a little break over here at the Outlaw headquarters in August. We're not going to be releasing any new episodes during that month, but we will be planning and working behind the scenes because, let me tell you, there is some exciting stuff coming. Be sure to join the email list or connect with me on Instagram for all the updates! Now, today, as we finish up our summer series over the next couple of episodes, we're going to be talking about what we could essentially do now to get ready for autumn. This episode serves as a reminder to listen to yourself and what you need rather than attaching to hustle culture. Enjoy! Hey, Outlaws. Welcome to this brand-new episode of our summer series! At the time of this episode airing, we have just experienced the summer solstice in the northern hemisphere – the longest day of the year. This is often known as “midsummer” for those of you who have warm summertimes, and some of us call it the beginning of summer because we’re in very wet and rainy countries. We’ve also entered into Cancer season, and Cancer is a water sign – it can be associated with high emotions and I like to think of it as being a water/summertime energy. As I plan for my business and downtime in the summer months, I will often look at the cycles that are around me and I will reflect on personal experience with each season to make sure I’m planning in a way that suits the season best. In this episode we’re going to explore that cyclical nature of business and I’ll share some journal prompts that will help you to plan for this season. Let’s dive in! Hey Outlaws, welcome to episode 79. Today we are continuing with our summer series and this week we're gonna be getting a little bit strategic – we're going to look at planning out your business' needs for the summer. This is something that is so important when we are looking to take time off, whether it is in the summer or any other time of year. Last week, I introduced you to some questions that I've used in my own business to help me get ready for downtime, like what do I want my summer to look like? How much time do I want to take off? When do I want to work? Do you want to work every day? You get to set that tone for your summer, so let’s expand on that in today’s episode. Visit this episode's blog post here: www.melanieknights.com/podcast/summer-series-planning-out-your-business-needs-for-the-summer
Today we are starting a five-part mini series! It's going to be a summer series that is going to take us right through to August, and we are going to be looking at how you can get your business summer ready. It’s really important for us to identify as individuals what it is that we really want to get from each season of our business, whether it's a physical season or winter spring summer, or whether chapter it is. How can you allow your business to actually give you the life that you want? I want to explore today how we can really navigate this, how we can prepare for it and be really intentional about that time we take off. We're also going to be looking at challenging what slow business is over the next five episodes – we’re going to be challenging the fact that slow business is slow, but it is not lazy. It's also not always on the fly. We can have a season of planning and creativity, and this can work for all of us and the way we wanna run our business and the way we want to live our lives. So grab out your journals and let’s find some clarity together today. Welcome to a brand new guest episode, Outlaws. You’ve probably heard me talk about the book, I Don’t Want to be an Empath Anymore. I absolutely loved the way it has resonated with my own experiences as an online business owner and connected with the author, Ora North online. So, to have Ora on the podcast today feels like a huge honour. As someone who’s always felt very deeply and who also lives with Bipolar Disorder, Ora has become an expert at creating systems to manage, lessen, or amplify the emotional experience. I’m excited for you to learn more about how she runs her business as an emotional strategist and allows herself to put her emotions and needs first in her business. I hope you’re excited as I am! Hi, Outlaws! I’m SO excited for this month and because of that, I thought I would do a round up of where I’m at in business right now, what I’m focusing on, and I also want to introduce you to one of my newest projects that I’ve been talking about on Instagram for awhile that centres around the topic of fat phobia and body image. I want to start this episode with a trigger warning: if you have an eating disorder or are struggling with body image and hearing conversation about diet culture, bodies, fatphobia, etc., I encourage you to do what’s right for you and that may be skipping this episode. I see you and I love you. Visit this episode's blog post here: www.melanieknights.com/podcast/behind-the-scenes-new-website-and-shop-products
