This week’s Business of Healthcare episode is a journey through the intricacies of leadership and management in the healthcare sector – and a treasure trove for PCN leaders who are looking to refine their strategic vision and strengthen team dynamics. We explore the crucial framework of questions that I apply both within my team and when advising primary care network clients. These questions serve as a diagnostic tool to help leaders stay on course or make necessary pivots to achieve their objectives: When was the last time I reinforced the vision of the network / business? Are there enough connection points/ drumbeats internally and externally? Are roles and responsibilities clear within the network and my colleagues at THC? What is my role as the Primary Care Development Manager at THC and with the client? Am I clear? What training is available for me and for my PCN team/ clients? Are business tools being fully utilised? What are my / network/ business goals? What are we trying to achieve? How are we progressing against the goals? Am I being efficient with my time and only doing the things I need to be doing? What do I need to start, stop and continue doing? From discussing how often to revisit your organisation's vision, to evaluating the adequacy of internal and external connection points, tune in for an episode rich with practical advice - and to discover how to maintain momentum and clarity in your leadership role.
