Love yall + feedback

Matt and Michael: I so appreciate your vulnerability and ability to deeply connect with your community. The experiences you’ve shared are so relatable and needed from a healing perspective. Reno: the light you add to the show is great. However, I feel like your “light” sometimes presents as fluff—especially when you’re often omitting your shadows. For example: imagine someone with low self-esteem is trying to heal so they tune into the “how to feel sexy” episode. Do you think they would want to hear 20 minutes of you talking about how sexy and confident you are? I challenge you to look deeper at + share your shadows…that’s sexy.

A start

The concept of this podcast is great as I think it tries to address very real issues in our community and help gay men get on their own healing journeys. I think Michael in particular offers the most practical and grounded advice throughout, and at this point I listen almost for him alone. The other presenters can, at times, come off as self-absorbed, mostly in the way that almost every episode feels like another opportunity for them to talk about themselves. I know deep down they aren’t bad people of course and I’ve come to enjoy and appreciate different aspects of all the hosts. However, the podcast could definitely improve with an ethos that is less ego-centered from the presenters themselves. If I could offer constructive criticism it would be to focus on offering more practical tips and providing more insightful questions for the listener to self reflect.
