When something goes "wrong" in the world (or your world) do you react by looking for others to take the blame or take action, or do you respond by looking inside yourself to see what you can fix within yourself to heal the world?
This episode originally aired in 2020. How does school choice empower educational freedom? Are humans too stupid to be trusted with making their educational choices? Do teachers unions really have the best interests of teachers at heart? Curt Mercadante discusses these topics and more with Corey DeAngelis. Corey is a senior fellow at the American Federation for Children, the executive director at Educational Freedom Institute, an adjunct scholar at Cato Institute, and a senior fellow at Reason Foundation. He was named on the Forbes 30 Under 30 list for his work on education policy and received the Buckley Award from America’s Future in 2020. This episode originally aired in 2020. “It's not freedom from difficulty or freedom from struggle or hard work, but it's the freedom to choose the hard work that you're doing and the struggles and the challenges that you face." -- Isaac Morehouse, founder, Crash Curt Mercadante interviews Isaac Morehouse, founder of Crash -- a career launch platform that’s disrupting the job search industry by empowering individuals to brand and sell their impact. In today’s episode, Curt asks Isaac what the word “freedom” means to him. “You're always going to face those situations ... and that can mean something as small as you're in a situation that you feel you don't want to be in, knowing that you were the one who chose to put yourself there. If you can't immediately get out, at least saying no one else is responsible for this, I am. “But if you can, once you realize you're responsible, you often start to find all these creative ways that you can exit the situation, if not immediately, soon."
This episode originally aired in 2020. Technology tools that were created to “make our lives better” can now be “turned against us to create animosity, and then strife,” said Brig. Gen. Robert Spalding (USAF, ret.) in an interview with Freedom Media Network host Curt Mercadante. Spalding said those same tools are being used by the Chinese Communist Party to wield influence and create disunity and discord within America’s borders. Brigadier General Robert Spalding, USAF (Ret.) left his post as director of strategic planning to the president for the National Security Council after a furor caused by his warnings over the security of Americans’ online data. A 26 year veteran of the U.S. Air Force, Gen. Spalding also previously served as China strategist to the Chair of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and pilot of the B2 stealth aircraft. In his book, “Stealth War: How the Chinese Took Over While America’s Elite Slept,” General Spalding raises concerns over the CCP's war on free speech inside -- and outside -- its borders.
If the past few years have taught us anything, it’s that each of us needs to take 100% for our health. And yet, the programming in our society pushes us to be mere victims — because victims are consumers. Curt Mercadante discusses why in today’s episode.
This episode originally aired in 2020. In a world of political, economic, and social upheaval, how can we enact positive change? “I believe in an entrepreneurial theory of social change,” said T.K. Coleman, director of entrepreneurial education at the Foundation for Economic Foundation (FEE) and the co-founder and education director at Praxis. “For me, I'm not interested in just changing the way people see the world. I'm interested in changing the world that people see.” Coleman is also creator and host of the “Revolution of One” YouTube series.
No matter what we do, some mornings are just going to be worse than others. We can reduce the amount of things we hate in our day, but there are always going to be days when we have to do things that suck. On those days, how can we go from suck to awesome? Curt Mercadante explains in this episode.
This episode originally aired in 2020. Why do we resort to tribalism in politics, religion, and our views about wealth and prosperity? From religion to politics to our views on prosperity -- so many of our choices are influenced by our programming which may or may not have pushed us into making our “tribal” choices without true critical thinking. Curt interviews Randy Gage, a thought-provoking critical thinker who will make you approach your business — and your life — in a whole new way. Randy is the author of ten books translated into 25 languages, including the New York Times bestsellers, "Risky Is the New Safe" and "Mad Genius." He has spoken to more than 2 million people across more than 50 countries, and is a member of the Speakers Hall of Fame. More on Randy: https://randygage.com

Some men will glorify the struggle all the way to the grave, while thers will follow the "Struggle Pornographers" right off a cliff.  And yet others will hit the wall before the cliff and finally realize that... In the words of the late, great Stuart Wilde..."Life was never meant to be a struggle." If you've overcome struggle in your life, that's great. And, while we should all be prepared to overcome adversity, we are not required to seek it out. Learn more in today’s Freedom Friday episode with Curt Mercadante.

Can Pac-Man hold the key to your health, relationships, and prosperity? Well, sort of… You see, just like fasting the body can help us become like "Pac-Man" — self-eating our dead and cancerous cells, fasting the mind can help us self-eat the dead cells of consciousness that can lead us to become addicted to our disempowering thoughts. This episode inspired by our recent interview with Jason Gregory: https://www.freedommedianetwork.com/post/fasting-the-mind
