The Uncomfortable Truth about Sustainable Investing
ESG (or “environmental, social, and governance”) investing has been one of the hottest financial trends in recent years. It promises something that sounds too good to be true: You can invest in a way that aligns with your moral compass, and you don’t have to sacrifice returns to do it. But…can you?
We’re joined by Alex Edmans, a professor of finance at London Business School and expert in the field, to help us cut through the greenwashing.

Rich Girl Roundup: “I’m Open About Money—But Now My Friends Hold It Against Me.”
Rich Girl BT wrote in saying, "We talk more money with friends—but once they know the salary, they'll hold it against you. For example, they'll say, 'You can afford $750 for two nights at my wedding.' But I don't want to spend that." So, how do we navigate these situations in an attempt to be more transparent about finances?

Katie’s the bomb
Been listening to this show for a couple years and am impressed. Katie always brings great advice and insight to the table. Her guests are interesting and bring a variety of perspectives to the show.
Worthy of my 1st ever podcast review
I’ve been listening to this podcast for a few months. It’s great. This most recent episode on black market luxury was really interesting, and I wanted to review it specifically because I felt it displayed Katie’s interest/ability around more abstract philosophical topics (e.g. what does it all mean, anyway?). Great work, love the way you think. I have to say, I was really hooked at the closing when Katie brought up the topic of money dysmorphia — HELLO, this is your next episode topic. Please please please do an episode on this. It’s a topic I’ve discussed with many over the few years, particularly in regard to Millennials being the frontier generation of not having traditional success/finance/adult markers of generations past — it’s all related. Last week-ish, LAist published a great article titled ”Young Parents Need Bigger Homes, But Older Angelenos Aren’t Moving” check it out!
Life-changing, hilarious, addicting
MWK has been my FAVORITE podcast for about the last year. I cannot stop sharing these episodes with friends. Katie is the best!!
