    Wondery Presents: Stolen Hearts

    Wondery Presents: Stolen Hearts

Sergeant Jill Evans is a small town cop in Wales with an impressive record in her job, and a less than impressive record in her love life. After three engagements, two divorces and one affair, she’s beginning to worry that love is only true in fairy tales. That is until she meets: Dean. He’s a wealthy beauty entrepreneur with his own range of toiletries.

Girl meets boy. Boy meets girl. They kiss and fall in love. Roll credits.

But that would be boring, wouldn’t it? Instead, this is a love story like no other. It’s all going so well for Jill and Dean, until Halloween night, when Dean disappears. And Sgt. Jill is left to pick up the pieces.

From Wondery and Novel, comes a new series. Hosted by Kerry Godliman.

Can an Open Relationship Save Your Marriage?

Love! Everybody wants to find it. However, keeping up a relationship can sometimes be just as difficult as finding one. We try everything to stoke the fire that might be burning out - so could the answer be to throw another log on the fire? Nikki and Malone ask the burning question: "Can an open relationship save your marriage?" They speak with a polyamorous couple who share how an open relationship works for them. They are joined by Dr. Amy Moors, an assistant professor of psychology and a research fellow at the Kinsey Institute, who is an expert on consensual nonmonogamy.

Are You Oversharing on Social Media?

Are You Oversharing on Social Media?

Are you one of the 4.7 billion people who use social media on a daily basis? While some people still keep a diary, others feel compelled to announce and show every detail of their life on social media. We are curious and interested in the lives of friends and family but do they really need to tell us what they had for lunch or how horrible their breakup was - with photos! How much is okay to share? Host Nikki Boyer and Co-Host Mr. Malone talk with Sarah Bregel, a writer, and self-described oversharer whose article about the end of her marriage went viral. Then they speak with Dr. Nina Vasan, a psychiatrist, and pioneer in digital mental health innovation, to get to bottom of why people overshare and how to use social media in a healthy way.

Great show, please stop audibly dry heaving 😅

Great show, I know it’s annoying when people leave nitpicky reviews re: something the host does on a free show, but have you listened back to the episodes where you audibly retch/gag? I heard it first on the lab created meat episode (several times, understandable if you really were grossed out by it), but just heard it again on the PSL episode, and it leads me to believe you sometimes do it for dramatic effect when talking about something unpleasant…. (And I get it- I do that too.) But after hearing someone *else* audibly retch for dramatic effect, it’s made me realize how startling and uncomfortably gross it sounds, and I’ve made a mental note to stop doing it myself in conversation. 😅 sorry for the probably unwanted feedback, great show otherwise!
