The host Nicole Cumberbatch is a Mother, Corporate Career VP turned Mompreneur, Published Author, and Speaker.

After Nicole's son was born in 2017, she struggled with her career identity, postpartum anxiety, and balancing life with a newborn. She felt there was a need to have open and honest conversations about motherhood and the challenges mother’s face; so, she created her podcast, in 2019, and it's been a labor of love, for Nicole, to bring these powerful conversations to the podcast world!

The mission of The Motherhood Village podcast is to educate and empower mothers with informative and impactful conversations. Nicole believes that it takes a village to raise a child, but most importantly it takes a village to uplift a mother.

Consider this podcast as part of your motherhood village. All mothers know what's best for their families, but there is something special about hearing stories you can relate to and connecting with people that you can learn from.

Amanda served in the Air Force for six years as a Civil Engineer including a combat deployment to Afghanistan. When her first son was born, she traded in her combat boots for a diaper bag to stay home with her son. Sara Horowitz was raised in Broward County, Florida before moving to Gainesville to attend the University of Florida for undergraduate and law school. Dr. Kara Ayers is the Associate Director and an Assistant Professor at the University of Cincinnati Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (UCCEDD), which is a part of Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. She's also co-founder of the Disabled Parenting Project and researches parenting with a disability. Dr. Ayers infuses the mantra, “Nothing about us with out us,” into her scholarly and community-based pursuits. She and her husband are disabled parents to 3 children, ages 4, 11, and 14. The Disabled Parenting Project seeks to inform social policy through the development of resources, created by and for the disabled parenting community, and to promote social justice for disabled families. This was a beautiful and emotional episode. I am so proud of my 2 girls. I often think of you both when you were little girls and wish the time would not have been so fast. You both are my life and now my grandchildren. Nikki, you are an amazing woman and mom, God made a beautiful choice to give Jais you, as his mommy. Congratulations on your new podcast, may God bless you with much success. Dana, you as well are an amazing woman. Baby Rodriguez is due today as I write this. God chose you to be her mommy and she is one blessed child. I can't wait to meet my grandaughter. I love you both, Your mommy♥️♥️
