Today, I want to make a case for professional development as an act of self-care, especially when you're on the path to promotion.  As a quietly ambitious professional, you understand the importance of meaningful and fulfilling careers, making an impact in the world. And I believe that investing in your professional growth can be a powerful form of self-care.
