Courageous leadership begins with vulnerability Surviving to Thriving for Nonprofit Leaders

    • Non-Profit

Successful leaders have high levels of self-confidence.
We've all seen certain leaders walk into the room, and you can tell that they are confident, self-assured, composed and have got it all together.
But they did not walk into their leadership role, feeling that confident.
They did not get into that level of courage by hanging out in their comfort zone.
That leader was first brave.
They took risks.  They stepped outside their comfort zone again and again and again and did things that were uncomfortable, awkward, and yes, even scary.
The more times they push themselves outside of their comfort zone, their comfort zones grew.
As they stretched out of their comfort zone, they progressively became more confident, bit by bit by bit.
But that is because they were courageous first.
The challenge is, too many leaders wait to feel confident before they do things.
In this episode, you'll learn why courage first is essential, and some strategies for how to grow your leadership courage muscle!
